The Elizabeth Zimmerman Young Birder Scholarship
The Mountaineer Chapter of the National Audubon Society is proud to provide scholarships to help young people who are interested in birds to attend summer camps, workshops, training programs, conventions, and other bird-related activities. Funds for the scholarships come primarily from the generous donation left by Elizabeth Zimmerman in her estate, as well as donations from Mountaineer Audubon members and fundraising initiatives. Our scholarships help young birders embark on life-changing experiences and go on to discover careers in birding, research, ornithology, and other related fields of study.
